Success Story: Hajji Athman- Cultivating Prosperity with support from SOLO and FAO
In the tranquil village of Ghalamani, Chewani ward, Galole Constituency, Tana River, resides Hajji Athman, a resilient father of 52 years. Hajji, along with his household of six, found renewed hope and opportunity through the transformative intervention of SOLO and FAO’s program.
Empowered by the cash transfer provided as part of the program, Hajji wasted no time in investing in the tools essential for agricultural prosperity. With a keen eye on enhancing farm productivity, he purchased the farms tools above. In his words: “I bought a jembe for ploughing and Tolsen 16L for spraying my farms. I also used in settling Family expenses up to today.”
Beyond agricultural endeavors, Hajji utilized part of the funds to meet his family’s immediate needs and expenses, ensuring their well-being and security. Hajji’s prudent management ensured that his household’s needs were adequately addressed
He also mentioned how the mosquito net was a life savior and his little kids have been asking to buy the net and he couldn’t afford.
